Bio: My name is Kimo$abe, I’m a rapper, producer, and music artist from South Jersey.
Who are your top 5 influences? In no particular order: Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, Tupac Shakur, and Freddie Gibbs
When are your new projects coming out? I just released an EP and a single in the past couple months. At the moment, I’m working on a new mixtape that will contain much more songs than my previous EPs. I plan to release that mixtape in early 2021 for free on platforms such as SoundCloud, DatPiff, YouTube, and Bandcamp.
What helped you get into music? My community was the main catalyst for my musical life. I started playing music in school programs growing up and transitioned into underground music scenes as I got older. The guidance I received from my music teachers and my collaborative efforts with my hometown friends to get our independent music projects off the ground were the most important help in cascading me to this point.
What is one thing you would tell your fans? I don’t actually have any fans at the moment, but I’m working on developing a fanbase right now.
What are your biggest goals for 2021? I’ve been focusing very heavily this past year on content creation and marketing. I’ve released 3 EPs and 1 single so far in 2020, as well as building a small social media presence. In 2021 I hope to double down on that and release much larger pieces of content (including my upcoming mixtape and a future album), as well as reaching out to a broader audience, hopefully building a fanbase in the process.
