BIO Redeem aka Redemptor Ridon is a Filipino-American artist from Stockton, CA. I was was born on August 6, 1987 in a small town in the Philippines. Redeem and his family migrated to the United States when I was 14 years old. This is when I first heard HIP-HOP music and became a fan instantly.
Top 5 Influences? Tupac, Notorious BIG, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog and Eminem are my top 5 artists who have had the biggest influence on my music.
Who helped you get into music? I got into music with the help of V8, a local artist/producer on November of 2019. This is when I recorded my first single “Life Is Amazing”. This is when I discovered that I was capable of making songs and found my passion. Throughout his whole life,I was not musically inclined nor thought of myself as a musician. After my first single, I founded my own label, GR8 MUSIC GROUP LLC on January 2020. I also trained himself to become Producer and Music Engineer with the help of his friend/producer, Topo The Chef. I invested in building my own recording studio in his garage. Since then, I have produced numbers of songs and relentlessly pursued my music career.
When are my new projects coming out? I will be releasing my first album, “The Redemption” on October 2020. I have a newest single “Live It Up To The Fullest” that will be released on July 31, 2020. There are plans of releasing my second album on 2021. I also have plans of signing more artist to Gr8 Music Group. I’m now working with a few local artists with the plans of releasing their albums by the end of 2020.
What is one thing that would tell your fans? “If you believe and you will achieve”. Believe in yourself and you will attain your fullest potential. We are all given one chance and one life, so make the best out of it. Dream as big as you can and pursue it.
What are your biggest goals in 2021? My biggest goal on 2021 is to be able to reach my fullest potential and be able to reach all of my dreams. I want to be able to buy my mother a house so she can finally retire permanently. My goal is to be financially stable and be able to help my family live their lives to the fullest.
