Exclusive Interview

Give us your bio Im originally from Dayton, OH. In the past 4 years I’ve been living in Washington DC while on Active Duty with the United States Marine Drumline and Im studying Electronic Music Production and Sound Design at Berklee College of Music.

Who are your top 5 influences? My top 5 influences are Charlesthefirst, Of the trees, Bassnectar, Supertask and Mr.Bill . I like to pick all the different elements that I love about each individual artists production and form a sound that I can’t get enough of.

When are your new projects coming out? I have a few singles that will be coming before spring rolls around and planning on releasing an EP towards the end of the summer!

What helped you get into music? My father and my older sister both were pretty musical while I was growing up. My Sister and her Husband are both singer songwriters and play a ton of piano. I started playing drums when I was 8 and during high school got into marching percussion. I traveled and competed in Drum Corps International for 2 years before joining the Marine Corps Drumline in 2015. I messed around with FL studios back in 2016 for a while and finally switched to Ableton and started taking production more serious around the middle of 2017, and here we are.

What is one thing you would tell your fans? If you have a big dream, don’t stop chasing it. Work your ass off because nothing is going to come easy or happen overnight. I failed and got cut from auditions for so many years in drumline because I didn’t work hard enough. After 2015 I told myself I would never half ass any dream of mine again. Self reflection has really helped me grow over the last few years.

What are your biggest goals for 2020? My biggest goals for 2020 are to hone in on my sound and release music that is authentic to myself, release my first EP with a label, snag some opening spots around the DC area, and maybe get a spot at a festival.
