Modern Day Hippie Music

Exclusive Interview

What inspires you when you create? Life is definitely what inspires me the most. What I’m doing, what I’m seeing, the people I interact with. Everything I experience is a source of inspiration.I have always said “don’t be influenced, be inspired” so As an artist I wouldn’t say im influenced by anyone. My art is 100% an expression of myself and what I’m feeling. That being said, there are other artists whose work inspires me, but I try not to be influenced by anyone so that I can deliver my most authentic And original sound.

New Projects? I’m actually self producing an album right now. No set date just yet, but I’m Planning to have it ready to go by Christmas. you know how these things are. These projects have a life of their own and are constantly evolving and growing, but I promise its going to be fire when it finally does come together as a finished product . Like nothing else that’s out there.

What got you into music? i have always loved music. 60s / 70s rock, the oldies, but I have alwaysfelt the strongest connection to hip hop in particular for as long as I can remember, and in middle school I found I was good at writing poetry, and really enjoyed it. so I started writing lyrics as an extension of that. I never thought it would become anything but then when I was 17/18 my dad got very sick, my mom was battling cancer and life my life was turned completely upside down. That’s when I started actually recording my lyrics to beats in my bedroom as. A way to vent and deal with all the turmoil going on in my life. It’s just continued evolving as a therapy and release point for me from there.

Anything to tell your fans? I would tell them that I appreciate their support and them taking the time to listen to my music. I’m always extremely grateful of that and I love that people are able to find a connection with me and my music.

Biggest goals for 2019? my biggest goal for the rest of this year is to finish the album. I’m really trying to push the boundaries with this project and I can’t wait to share it with the world.
