What inspires you when you create? It’s hard to say one particular thing inspires me, but if I were to pick one it would just digging myself out of the hole that is my student loans! Having a sh*t load of debt makes almost anyones mind work in a more creative way. LMAO
Top 5 influences? in no particular order. James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, Snoop Dogg, and Adam Sandler.
New Projects? I have a collab project coming out this summer with my broski Jessy Piff called “New York Morning”. Its inspired by a crazy show and adventure we had in Brooklyn a few weeks after we got back from our tour in Canada. Not to mention the usual balance of goofiness, romance, and sh*t talking that comes with any of our tracks. Our new song “Bamboo” is dropping March 22nd which can be pre-ordered here! https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/samcomfortandjessypiff/bamboo …
What got you into music? I was always surrounded by music since I was a little kid. My parents would put on bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Smiths, and this one CD called “Ska Party 99” that summed up my childhood. When I was 8 years old my parents got me a drum set and I taught myself how to play drums. I played in the jazz band in middle school, but my high school didn’t have a music program. I started rapping with my cousin Nick my freshman year of high school , began DJing in college, and released my first song “Deep In The Bag” in December of 2017.
Anything to tell your fans? One thing that I would tell my fans is that bad stuff is inevitable and the sooner you accept that and look at it as a way to make your mind stronger, your outlook on life should be much more positive. Lastly put positive energy out into the universe get positivity back; put negative energy out in the universe get negative energy back.
Biggest Goals for 2019? My biggest goal for 2019 is to not work this 9-5 job anymore.I see a lot of rappers hiding who they really are and one of the things I see them hide from people is that they work a “regular” job. Who cares get your money by any means, because you should always be your biggest investor
