Exclusive Interview

What inspires you the most when you create? oh man, inspirations come from all over the place. City lights reflecting off of water is something I always have in mind when making music. I love the nostalgic feeling it has, especially when it’s the color purple. I’m obsessed with creating something emotional, soothing and nostalgic, but at the same time hype enough to turn up to. There’s also this one feeling that always gets me, but I’m never sure how to describe it. It’s sort of like being lost in an unknown dimension for infinite time, if that makes sense? It’s a bit dark, but the feeling really helps me create a certain vibe.

Who are your top 5 influences? For influencers, I’d have to say Crywolf and Mr. Fijiwiji are for certain the most impactful in what I create. Crywolf’s early music was a more melodic, dreamy dubstep genre but it was emotional with an acoustic sound. I was so drawn to the feelings his songs gave me. The same thing goes for Mr. Fijiwiji. His calm, chill atmosphere made me think of space and being lost in another world. K-Pop also had a big impact on me, no particular artists. The older songs were really nostalgic and emotional, but hype at the same time and I loved the atmospheric rush. Other than the two artists, most of my influences come from feelings and nostalgia.

When are your new projects coming out? I just released two new songs not too long ago on SoundCloud. But for real projects for iTunes and Spotify, I’m hoping to have an album out by the end of 2018. The stuff I’ve put out so far are mainly unfinished projects I cleaned up, or songs I felt weren’t radio ready. I’m excited to show the world the atmospheric sound I’ve created in my next release. ‘in the ashes’ is the closest to it right now.

What helped you get into music? I actually got into music from game development. I started programming and competing in the 6th grade. I was developing games from scratch all by myself including art, but the only thing I didn’t make was music. I started getting into it, then it completely consumed me by my junior year in high-school. I got a job, saved up for some studio gear and now here I am!

Anything to tell your fans? One thing I’d tell my fans is my name is supposed to sound like ‘atmospheres’, and that I’m a huge nerd

Goals for 2018? My goal is to get signed to a label by the end of the year!
