Exclusive Interview

BIO I’m an up and coming hip hop and rap artist from Chicago with a deep and vivid lyrical style, while combining a classic and modern hip hop influence. I’ve been rapping since I was 7 and I recorded my first song when I was 17. Lately my intentions are to connect with more listeners and fans while I work on my newest projects.

Top 5 Influences? I don’t really have an order for my top influences, they usually come from things I see, conversations I’ve had, the way I’m feeling, my peers, etc. For example I can listen to a different genre and get some inspiration from that, sometimes from watching the news or I draw from personal experiences that I’ve had. But if I had to pick my top 5 artists I’d have to say Eminem is number one, then Kendrick Lamar, Kanye, Tyler the Creator for sure, and Royce da 5’9. These aren’t the only artists that I fuck with and I want to give a couple honorable mentions; XXXTentacion and Jaden Smith.

New Projects? Given that I dropped my debut Album Ghost in January I’m just giving it some time to gain some love and to connect with listeners before I drop new music. I also dropped a music video last week for my track ‘Rap Life’. Mainly I’m just focusing on reaching out to people, hopefully getting some performances and putting out singles. If I do drop another full project it will be around winter this year or early this upcoming year. I started free styling a lot with my cousins then that grew into worrying lyrics. When I first started writing it was mostly happy stuff and nursery rhymes then I got deeper into it and started telling stories, talking about how I feel and my experiences, which progressed into making the music I make today.

Anything to tell your fans? I tell my fans the smallest things really matter to me, just listening to my songs and viewing my music and I’m really just grateful to those who listen to my stuff. If you connect with my music that’s the best, it’s one of my goals as an artist and if people can connect then I feel like I’ve done my job right.

Biggest Goals of 2018? My biggest goals for 2018 are to go harder, grow my fan base, and find more ways to create my art, like more videos, releasing singles, getting some shows and setting up my future as Mero.
