Bio?: My name is Mike Joseph and I’m 23 years old from Upper Marlboro, MD. I’ve been rapping on and off for the past 8 years and put out a couple projects mainly as parodies. Recently I’ve focused more on serious music and every once in a while doing some funny shit. I pride myself on my pen game and strive to stand out from the way I think about things.
Top 5 Influences? Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, 2Pac, Lil Dicky, and IDK
New Projects?: I have a project titled 10 Theories Through 23 Years coming out next year. The focus of the project is dealing with the realities of life after graduating college and getting a job. It’s a fairly introspective and cohesive project.
What helped you get into music? I remember vividly the first time I even heard rap when I was 10 and my cousin showed me the station 95.5 (one of the Hip-Hop/Rap stations in the DMV). Then I remember writing my first rap at 13 when my friend told me he wrote the song Amish Paradise by Weird Al and I wanted to write something better than him. Since then I’ve become a massive fan of Hip-Hop both new and old.
Biggest Goals for next Year? Continuing to solidify my role in Hip-Hop. I know what I can do with a pen and when I gain some momentum, I will be unstoppable.
Anything to tell your fans? Support artists who share the same beliefs as you. The music should hopefully be parallel with what they believe in but if you support and enjoy an artist who has the same beliefs as you, then you’ll be a fan for life.
