Give us your bio: My name is Framig (the g is silent) and I’m a 21 year old emcee from Paterson, NJ. I consider myself to be a writer able to draw from my experiences to tell my story. I’m looking to put my stamp on this hip-hop game and represent my city. My favorite color is red, my number is 13 and my team is the Celtics (what a crazy summer). I think from the music I have out and the music on the way, you’ll be able to learn much more.
Who are your top 5 influences? Are we talking solely musically? If so, 50 Cent, Eminem, Biggie, Game Kendrick Lamar, and Joe Budden in no particular order. I have 6 people in my top 5, and I could probably put more but I’ll stick with these artists lol Each rapper on this list marked a different period of time in my life of great inspiration, and made a massive impact on a kid from Jersey. Sidebar: I hope this isn’t Game’s last album coming out as he claims it is, but either way I’m anticipating it. I’m also very curious to see what Eminem does with this next album; I heard he got 2 Chainz on a record which is dope ! Now, if the whole time you meant influences overall, put my mother above everybody on this list lol She is the strongest person I know and keeps me going without even knowing it.
What helped you get into music? I honestly think that it happened naturally. Music was always playing around the house, from every genre you could think of. I was surrounded by it and still am; I used to sing to my pre-school teacher and also one of my babysitters lol I would say somewhere around 10-11 years old is when I knew it was what I wanted to pursue. I used to imagine myself in my head rocking crowds and dropping albums that the people would love. I would title these albums and pretend I was this huge rapper. I think that it’s time for me to make it a reality !
What is one thing you would tell your fans? One thing I would say is to believe/trust in me. I won’t let you down. I promise to do this with everything I got. Thank you for all the support and for sticking with me on this journey; it’s far from over.
What are your biggest goals for 2017? With these few months left in the year, I want to really get my name out there more, get a few more performances under my belt and drop my first project, Paterson Blues. It will be a game changer !
