Bio: My name is Micah Ette. I’m 16 years old from Portland Oregon and I currently live in Delaware attending High School. I lived in Portland for 3 years, but Idaho is where i mostly grew up. I’ve always had a passion for music since I was little. Freestyling in the cafeteria with my friends is what really made me want to start writing lyrics and see where music would take me. My friends are definitely a big part of my journey. SavageMobb saw what i was trying to do and let me be a part. The Lord blessed me with such a great support system in my family and friends that I’m lucky to have. Yang Squad all have a passion for music like myself. That’s why we all created it, spreading good vibes through our music is what we do. I love so many types of music not just rap. Rock, Soul, Classical, Reggae, and R&B. I’m also a big Sports fan. I started dominating the local Basketball Rec Leagues since i was in 2nd Grade. Dominated middle school ball in 7th Grade. I still have yet to play High School.
Top 5 influences: 1. Chance The Rapper 2. Michael Jackson 3. Kanye West 4. Donald Glover 5. Eminem But everyone I meet has influenced me in some way.
Any new Projects? If so, when are they coming out?”: My upcoming project “Life in Color’ does not have an official release date. But it will be released either this week, or the week after. I also have a joint project called “True Colors” I’ve been working and planning on for months with a local artist, Trill Savage. He’s been in “SavageMobb” with me and we’re on the rise just trying to make it. It will be coming sometime next year.
What helped you get into music?: Music has been with me all my life. My dad played different types of music all the time around the house until I was 12. Growing up in Idaho, there was always a hit song being played on the radio all day that got stuck in your head. Whether it’s the lyrics, the beat, the genre, it will influence you somehow. My Big Brother has been making music way before me, I knew i wanted to be like him. It wasn’t until I moved to Delaware that really made me do music. Every Lunch period every day we would have rap battles. I would always go head to head with the best rapper on the table. We would freestyle everywhere at school and it wasn’t until I started writing with friends on New Year’s Eve that i realized I could do this for real.
What is one thing you would tell your fans? I would tell them i appreciate every single one of them. When i was younger i would have never thought that people would listen and support me in music. I’m always working on music and I hope they love it as much as i do.
What are your biggest goals for 2017? 1. Release “Life in Color” I know some people who are waiting all year for it so i want to get it to them. 2. Perform at a show somewhere. I’ve wanted to perform since i was young, so I would love to be on stage and spit. I love entertaining people whether it’s through basketball, acting a fool, or rapping. I want to put on a show for the people that support me. That’s all my goals for 2017.
