BIO:My name is Gene Galuska I’m 21 years old and a hip-hop artist from Scranton, Pennsylvania. I started making music when I was 13 as an outlet to help me deal with things I didn’t necessarily know how to deal with in my life. It gave me a feeling I’ve never felt before, I fell in love with it and never looked back. Eventually I signed to Tate Music Group in 2013 and released my debut album, Going Public, in June 2014. I try to make my music as real as it can be, and the way I feel hip hop music should be made. I love being able to relate to people, and I love to hear that my music can make somebody feel something, whatever it may be. That’s what’s most important thing to me when it comes to my music.
Top influences My top 5 influences musically are definitely Eminem, Tupac, Chris Webby, Hopsin and Immortal Technique. I was always inspired by artists that wrote songs for a purpose; with a meaning behind it.
New Projects? I have a new project coming out in February called The Valleys Hero. I’m finishing it up these next few weeks. I’m actually really excited about it too because it’s the first time I’m putting out new music since my album dropped.
What got you into music? I first got into music when I was a kid because it was the only thing I found that allowed me to really get things off my chest. I wasn’t really good at all when I first started to be honest. I had to learn a lot of things along the way that helped me improve. But I dedicated mostly all my time to it the past 7 years and I still never stop trying to get better now.
One thing to tell your fans? One thing I would tell my fans is thank you from the bottom of my heart. I never thought my songs would have millions of views. I see people from pretty much every country I can think of sharing my music and it’s just unbelievable. Music is a universal language though and It’s amazing how far it can travel. I really appreciate the support I see from everybody and I love talking to fans, and hearing how my music could relate to their life. That’s what I make music for, it’s the best feeling in the world to me.
Biggest Goals: And my biggest goals for 2017 would be to just make it. Make it in the music industry at the highest level. But above all else, mainly the goal is to just keep making music regardless. Keep working hard at it. Keep the journey going. I’d love to be able to grow my fan base and keep spreading my music. I’d hopefully like to start touring in 2017, but I’m taking things one step at a time. I love the journey I’m on and I’m going to take whatever opportunities I can when they come along. But I believe if I keep doing things the right way, everything will eventually fall into place. I think I can make music at a high level and I plan on proving that the best I can with the new music I have coming out this year.
