Give us your bio:
Danny G is the wokest rapper alive coming straight out of the tri state area. A 23 year old paralegal just trying to get his flows off,
@brogorio (Twitter/Instagram) has been passionate about music and politics from a young age. He sees both passions as ways to fight oppression and spread a message of unity and social justice. The poignancy of his conscious rhymes reflect years of studying political science at Boston University. So far Danny G has released several freestyles on SoundCloud along with a single “Stay Woke” from his premiere upcoming mixtape tentatively titled “Trappin out the 67th floor”. Although his complex lyrical style is reminiscent of the nineties, “Stay Woke” features a distinctly modern trap vibe. Together with his producer 2051 beats, Danny G is working on crafting a uniquely trippy trap influenced sound.
Who are your top 5 influences? 1. The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy 2. Jay-Z 3. Kanye West 4. Immortal Technique 5. MGK When are your new projects coming out? I’ve got two new songs and music videos coming out with Coke Boy Cheeze Dior and O.B…My next single “Xtreme Dreams” also produced by 2051 beats and sampling “Extreme Ways” by Moby will be dropping soon too and I shall be revealing the official artwork imminently so stay tuned.
What helped you get into music? I’ve always been a huge fan of hip hop and an artist at heart. I started really rapping a few months ago when I decided to share my perspective on the presidential election. I made “Stay Woke” to let people know this was an important moment in our political history. I want to use my music to entertain and enlighten the masses so our culture can progress in a positive way. I want to inspire grassroots activists and protesters to not give up when Trump is inaugurated. Our society can’t afford to stay sleeping while the 1% steals everything. I feel like Yeezy cuz I got the vision. I make good music so I know we’re kindred spirits. I’d like to wish Kanye the best and hope he feels better soon. The vibes are coming back though so don’t stress and stay woke!
What is one thing you would tell your fans? Don’t listen to the mainstream media or radio bruh feelings matter like Yeezus said we gotta come together and cut out that petty fake politic$ shit.
What are your biggest goals for 2016? I want to finish recording the rest of the mixtape and start working on my next project. Hopefully I have the chance to collaborate with more cool artists and producers. My goal is to inspire more people to speak out against injustice. Real people need to come together and unite to defeat the Corporatocracy in a real revolution. I’m here to lead the way so follow me and stay tuned for more dopeness.
