Give us your bio, Who are your top 5 influences,When are your new projects coming out?What helped you get into music? What is one thing you would tell your fans? What are your biggest goals for 2016?

Bio: With determination, the love of real lyricism and a strong team V NE$$ is able to set herself apart from the rest of the competition. Originally hailing from Jamaica Vanessa Logan aka V Ne$$ came to America at an early age. V NE$$ has been influenced by music since a young age. Growing up V NE$$ listened to every type of music from reggae to hip-hop. Her musical influences include artists such as Bob Marley to hip hop artists such as Nas, Mc Lyte, and Queen Latifah. Living in the Northend of Hartford V NE$$ fell in love with rap and from the start she honed her craft through the years between battling and recording and often times taking on the best emcees Connecticut had to offer. V NE$$ has released many projects including the mixtape “Can You Hear Me Now” and 2012’s “Both Ways” mixtape collaboration with fellow Connecticut artist Snacks (Lite Night Snacks) also in 2015 she released a mixtape entitled “She’s Out Of My League” on Soundcloud and Dat Piff music sites. She’s also been featured on various mixtapes including tapes hosted by Coast to Coast mixtapes and she was recently just featured on DJ Meechie’s “Fresh Faces 4” She’s also performed at many showcases and concerts throughout the tri-state area, and V NE$$ also opened up for Lil Kim at the Hippodrome in Springfield as well. V NE$$ is continuing to make music for everyone to feel and with this new project “B.A.D.”(Bars Ain’t Dead) her experiences and growth in music and life will be shown through this project and those to follow.

 Who are your top 5 influences My top 5 influences are Nas, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, Lauryn Hill and Bob Marley

When are your new projects coming out? I have an EP entitled “MY B.A.D. (MY Bars Ain’t Dead) slated for a late December release.

What helped you get into music?  I would have to say that I was born into music. My father exposed me to so many different genres of music.. so many timeless classics at such an early age that it was almost “written” that I’d be involved in music somehow.

What is one thing you would tell yo I would tell my fans to always remain true to self. Knowledge of self and Love of self are major keys! Promote yourself like your favorite artist!

My goal for 2016 is to prepare myself for the greatness that is to come
