Exclusive Interview

Give us your bio: I was born in Augusta, GA. My parents were in the Army so I moved around from state to state. I was introduced to music by two older brothers & my sister. My sister was a Michael Jackson fan and my brothers were into all genres. My parents listened to Soul, R&B, & funk like Barry White, Teddy P, Al Green, Stevie Wonder, and Pattie Labelle. As I grew up music became a part of my life & learned to respect all genres of music. I lived in CA, TX, PA and NC where music made its impression on me. I am a producer who happens to rap  & an artist who happens to produce. My style is a product of all these places. I was influenced by producers like Dr. Dre, Timberland, Neptunes, Kanye West, Alchemist, Lil Jon, Jus Blaze, Ski Beats, 9th Wonder, Swizz Beats, Stevie Wonder, Prince and other artist and producers.

Who are your top 5 influences? Isaac Hayes: for being a producer and an artist Outkast: being creative and different on every album. Jay-Z: for being a business not a businessman. He is a model for how to start from the bottom and go to the top. Slaughterhouse: for the lyricism. Bone Thugs: they brought the harmony to rap.

When are your new projects coming out? I have an instrumental album dropping by the end of the year. Haven’t set a date yet. Also the EP with a collective group hopefully dropping first quarter.

What helped you get into music? My family & just being a fan of music, knowing I can create what I love.

What is one thing you would tell your fans?  You don’t always have to follow a path. Make your own path.

What are your biggest goals for 2016? To be recognized and respected as an artist and producer.
