Vidorra brings us a burst of energy with his vibrant production style. Go show some love!
My name is Chanakya Kathuria, I’m 16 years old, and I’m a music producer from Birmingham, UK. Since day one music has played a massive part in my life. Every member of my family listen to music. My brother and sister are big into old and new school hip hop, and as the youngest, whatever they were listening to, I was listening to. I started picking up instruments through primary school, playing in school bands. The saxophone and drums I still play to this day. I took interest in writing music at 13. I would class my self as a workaholic for sure. I like to write music of all genres, whatever I’m feeling at the time. From main room electronic tracks, to stripped back hip hop beats, to DnB tracks… The diversity of music is what I love about it and therefore I don’t want to tie myself down to one style as such, but I know that continuation in an artist’s work is key. At the moment, I’m enjoying working with a number of extremely talented vocalists, and hope to release an album soon http://www.vidorraofficial.com
Who are your top 5 influences?
That’s a hard question. I have so so many, but condensing the most influential to 5, In no particular order: Swedish House Mafia, Diplo, Jay Z, DJ SNAKE and BassBoy & Preditah as one, as the stuff they are producing for BBK is absolute fire and I can’t spilt them.
When are your new projects coming out? I’ve got too much unreleased music. Way too much. If I could, I would release it all now for free download. But you’ll have to be patient. What helped you get into music? I would say initially my school. I’ve always gone to schools with a passionate music teacher, and they are the people who encouraged me to make music, But primarily my family. They introduced me to music.
What is one thing you would tell your fans?
