EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH SUNNY. CHECK OUT ONE OF THE ILLEST NEW ARTISTS OF THE YEAR. NOBODY IS SET TO STOP THIS MAN THIS YEAR. VIBE OUT VIBE OUT.
Your history

Came up in a two parent home, until I turned 14 years old. Parents separated due to my father doing drugs, he left the family I resorted to music, had groups in high school but never took it serious until abou the last year or two. My mother was found unconscious on her bathroom floor on her bday, and was Clincally Brian dead for about 2-3 months. That’s when I would vent to myself with music. It keep me goin and she finally got better. I’m from Springfield Ohio

Which is a small town, a little under 60,000 people Due to parents splitting my mom took care of me and my younger sibling, in government housings and the whole nine. Uhm

I manage to film my own videos, master my music and record all by myself on a MacBook computer

I rarely freestyle, I believe writing gives the listener a deep fell for ones music.

I feel underrated because in my city, trap rap is what gets all the love.

Tell me about the deepest stuff you’ve ever wrote

I’m in the process of starting a cypher that I want to happen annually that song is titled 2k16 cypher. I have some of the top and most unknown artist from the city involved

Dope. What is your favorite style of production?

I’m into samples but I can also switch it up to more current beats , my favorite beat of all time would probably be jay electronically exhibit a & b. Not much of a fan for the drill / trap style the story I have to tell doesn’t fit that

What’s your opinion on the current state of Hiphop?

“My opinion on the current state of hip hop. Uhhmm I think it was on a slope a few years back but na people like k. LaMar and jcole or keeping the whole genre at a balance. Real rappers are starting to come out of the depths with that raw, fresh sound that many of us were put on at a young age”
